Cabinet Meeting
The Florida Governor and Cabinet (“Cabinet”) will hold a meeting on Tuesday, March 10, starting at 9:00 a.m. in the Cabinet Meeting Room, Lower Level, The Capitol, Tallahassee. Governmental entities scheduled to present include:
- Florida State Board of Administration
- The Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund requests approval to proceed with a marketing approach for pursuing the purchase of the following product(s):
- Cash capital markets products such as “pre-event financing” similar to the purchase of such products in the past
- Bank markets standby agreements to provide the FHCF with a liquidity bridge
- Contingent capital market products which include put options or similar agreements
- Traditional reinsurance
- Finite reinsurance
- Alternative risk
- The Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund requests approval to proceed with a marketing approach for pursuing the purchase of the following product(s):
- Florida Financial Services Commission – Office of Insurance Regulation
- Request for approval to adopt the following proposed Rules:

- Request for approval for publication of the following proposed Rules:
- 69O-149.205: Indemnity Standard Risk Rate
- 69O-149.207: Health Maintenance Organization Standard Risk Rates
- 69O-149.003: Rate Filing Procedures
- 69O-149.005: Reasonableness of Benefits in Relation to Premiums
- 69O-149.007: Annual Rate Certification Filing Procedures
- Overview of the 2009 Legislative Agenda for the Office of Insurance Regulation
- Request for approval to adopt the following proposed Rules:
- Florida Department of Revenue
- Request for approval to publish Notices of Intended Action in the Florida Administrative Weekly to hold public rule hearings on proposed state tax rules that would clarify and update procedures and forms.
- Request for approval to adopt amendments to state tax rules and forms that would comply with recent legislative changes and to clarify and simplify Florida Department of Revenue procedures for better taxpayer understanding and compliance.
