Additional Materials, Webcast Available for Today’s Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund Advisory Council Meeting

Additional meeting materials have been made available in advance of the Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund (“FHCF”) Advisory Council meeting at 1:30 p.m. in Tallahassee, Florida today, May 15, 2014.  To access the first set of materials, click here.

The Florida Division of Emergency Management will report on the Hurricane Loss Mitigation Program, a statewide grant plan funded annually by the Florida Legislature.  To view that agency’s 2013 annual report, click here.

The Advisory Council is scheduled to vote today on the May claims-paying capacity estimate, which is attached for review.

The meeting agenda includes an update from FHCF Chief Operating Officer Dr. Jack Nicholson on Florida’s 2014 Legislative Session and the 2014-2015 Contract Year FHCF Structure.  Dr. Nicholson’s presentation is also attached.

Further, the Advisory Council will discuss public comments from this morning’s public hearing on proposed Rule 19-8.028, which would adopt the FHCF 2014-2015 Reimbursement Premium Formula and Reimbursement Premium Rates.  To view the hearing notice and proposed Rule text, click here.
