Florida’s 2012 primary election concluded yesterday, August 14, 2012, and Florida’s general election is starting to take shape. 

Below are results of the Florida Senate and House of Representatives primary races.  While three contests remain too close to call, Colodny Fass& Webb will monitor developments and provide updates.

Florida Senate:

There were eight Republican primary races and seven of those candidates will face a general election.  Some of the more high-profile races are listed in bold below.

Florida House of Representatives:

There were 37 Republican primaries, and, of those, 11 candidates were virtually elected to the Florida House of Representatives due to little or no competition in the upcoming general election. Of the 26 Democratic races, 12 candidates were virtually elected to the Florida House of Representatives.  Some of the more high-profile races are listed in bold type below.
